Hilarious. I have wired circuits and fixed multiple toilets.

For myself, I would add learn how to pull a trailer behind a 15 passenger van :)

Every church definitely has a “Jimmy”! Or even multiples! This made me smile. Thank you, brother!

For the breaker issue - at least in modern continental european breakers - the one that is flipped the other way than all the others is most probably the one for the room your looking for.

Speaking from experience, as our youth ministry room couldn't handle the popcorn machine + air fryer + projector at the same time 😄

Debby, you've been there before too! Glad to know it's more obvious in Europe. The few times I've been there I've avoided tripping a breaker!

Justin, I have a great deal of empathy for this particular set of issues. I was a high school principal for 18 years, and after watching the gym lights go out unexpectedly more than once, I learned quickly which breakers were which. And as for toilets, the fear and embarrassment (when you're in charge, it's always your fault 😁) that comes as water and raw sewage come out of a restroom... usually a women's restroom just to amplify my awkwardness...is second to none.

I enjoyed this, and I also enjoy being retired and being able to write about experiences through the fog of memory. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Duane! I enjoy the work God's given me - even the less glamorous parts 😀

I like it Justin. One minute you are deep in sermon prep, the next you could be counseling someone off the ledge, then you find yourself down in the boiler room trying to troubleshoot hvac or electrical issues... then back upstairs to figure out the sound system problem and make sure you have the right cables...... I digress :)

Sounds like a man who has been there!
