Who am I?

I’m a middle-aged guy who has been married for over 20 years, with three kids at home. I started following Jesus in 1990 and started working as a minister in 1999.

Here’s a bit about my writing and target audience. I like to talk and write about Discipleship, Technology to help Discipleship, Old Testament studies, Classic Literature, and Biblical Theology.

Why listen to me talk or write about Discipleship and Digital tools?

I am the Discipleship Pastor at Greenwood Baptist Church in Weatherford TX. I oversee our Group Bible studies, a new (to us) ministry called Re:generation Recovery Ministry, and our men’s and women’s teams. I also have a hand in some of the digital technology stuff at our church - though I do not lead that team anymore. I was in charge of those digital areas for about 7 years.

I also teach as an adjunct professor at Texas Baptist College and Southwestern Seminary. I mainly teach Old Testament 1 and 2, and I also teach Hermeneutics pretty regularly. Occasionally I have taught Hebrew 1 and 2, and classes on the Minor Prophets.

Discipling people and some digital tools to help achieve the mission. Occasional sarcasm.

I hang out with people and call it Discipleship. I read (some) and talk (a lot) about the Bible. I also crash bikes and lose at video games. Occasionally I teach at SWBTS or TBC as an adjunct OT professor.
