Kingdom Man by Tony Evans
Length: 6 SESSIONS
Teaching Videos: NO
Devotionals: YES
Leader Helps/Discussion Questions: NO
TLDR; This is a men’s version of Tony Evans’ Kingdom ___ series, where he writes toward specific issues/audiences in terms of God’s Kingdom. Evans has a huge following and no doubt this study will be used by thousands upon thousands of men. In fact, some of our groups have used it. The leaders said it was really powerful, though they weren’t given as much guidance with this study as some others include (I mean within the book itself).
Exodus - Storyteller Series (Lifeway)
Length: 6 SESSIONS
Teaching Videos: YES
Devotionals: YES
Leader Helps/Discussion Questions: NO
TLDR; This series is beautifully illustrated, and includes daily devotionals based on a chapter of Scripture. This particular study takes a very conservative view of the Exodus (1450 BC, rather than 1350 BC). It also discusses the plagues as interventions by God rather than naturally developing phenomenon.
This book includes devotionals for every day of the 6 week series. The series doesn’t have a “normal” setup for group bible study, opting to include a list of open ended questions about the text on day 7 of each week. So, small group leaders may need to plan ahead to create more questions if they think these will not create enough discussion.

TLDR; This series is beautifully illustrated, and includes daily devotionals based on a chapter of Scripture. This particular study works from a conservative viewpoint of the book being written around 70 AD. The author isn’t assumed to be Paul in this study, rather the author opts to grapple with the fact that the text doesn’t name one.
